The Part-Time Crisis Clinician provides direct services to clients and families in crisis in conjunction with Psychiatric Health Facility triage staff at Willow Rock Center. This 23-hour Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) serves adolescents from Alameda County who are in need of acute/crisis mental health services and can benefit from a structured, safe environment. This is a short-term program for adolescents, providing ongoing assessment and crisis stabilization with the goal of discharge to the community or transfer to an acute inpatient psychiatric facility in less than 24 hours.
The Crisis Stabilization Unit staff and inpatient staff provide a safe and nurturing environment as they assist youth in regaining the stability necessary to safely return home or to a community-based placement. The Crisis Clinician position works as a part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of nurses, psychiatrists and counselors.
