Overview

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a Mental Health Therapist to serve youth in our Orange County Mental Health Clinic. Therapists are a part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinical professionals providing mental health services to chlidren who are Orange County Medi-Cal clients. The Mental Health Therapist collaborates with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals, and interested parties to formulate and implement comprehensive treatment plans for children receiving mental health services.

 

Please note that this is a full-time, temporary, unbenefited position from mid-January to June 30, 2018.

Responsibilities

  • Provides effective individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Coordinates case management services for clients and caregivers.
  • Provides crisis intervention with clients as needed.
  • Collaborates with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals and interested parties to formulate and implement individual client treatment plans, behavioral programs and interventions.
  • Completes and submits documentation in accordance with County and Agency guidelines and standards as required.
  • Acts as a resource for caregivers, and other interested parties to assess and respond to client’s needs.
  • Participates in agency meetings, staff forums and trainings as required.
  • In order to provide continuity of care, collaborates with other community-based providers of service, which may include public or private schools, Regional Center, community-based mental health providers, private physicians, etc.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling or other Behavioral Sciences required.
  • Must maintain current licensure or be a registered intern with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ASW or MFTi.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities a plus!
  • Previous clinical experience working with children and families.
  • Maintain a criminal record and a Child Abuse Index clearance and agency auto insurance eligibility.
  • Valid California driver's license and insurance.
  • Insurable by Seneca's automobile policy.
  • Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements.

Schedule

  • This is a full-time temporary position for mid-January through June 30, 2018
  • Tuesday - Saturday
