Overview

The Quality Assurance Assistant Director assists the Program Director in the oversight of Central QA and aid in maintaining quality assurance in counties served by Seneca Family of Agencies.  The Quality Assurance department oversees mental health billing and documentation for all Seneca Family of Agencies clients. This candidate will have a high level of organizational and analytical skills, understand Medicaid regulations and best practice principles, be able to prioritize projects, be willing to develop new procedures as necessitated to improve the overall quality of the department, have good communication skills, and be a positive team player.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise QA Managers for assigned counties
  • Provide in-person support to QA Managers in programs as necessary to ensure smooth transitions and a clear understanding of technical QA matters
  • Assist QA Director in the implementation, coordination and monitoring of compliance reviews
  • Participate in the hiring process for the QA Department
  • Distribute necessary information to various departments within Seneca as well as outside agencies.
  • Liaison with various county personnel to ensure ongoing collaboration, field concerns, and rectify any issues.
  • Attend relevant county meetings for assigned counties
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures as appropriate for the Department
  • Oversee Internal Audits of assigned programs to assess for Medicaid, contractual, and agency compliance
  • Collaborate with QA Director regarding participation in external audits and reviews.
  • Participate in the development of trainings focusing on compliance.
  • Provide coverage when needed in QA Director’s or Manager’s absence
  • Work in partnership with accounting department leads to create effective billing systems and problem solve billing inaccuracies
  • Manage special projects as determined in collaboration with QA Director and Seneca Family of Agencies Executive Team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, computer and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects
  • Experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including supervisory experience
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Ability to practice direct communication and to give/receive feedback
  • Valid CA driver’s license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearances and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
