  • Overview

    The AIIM Higher program is a partnership between the San Francisco Department of Public Health and Seneca Family of Agencies, and serves juvenile justice-involved youth and their families in San Francisco County. The Bilingual (Spanish/English) Clinician provides short-term, data-informed, clinical assessment, linkage, and engagement services to children and families involved with juvenile probation. These Clinicians are members of a treatment team, and provide services at the program site and in the community, including juvenile hall, schools, and family homes.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete mental health assessments and coordinate mental health services in order to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to community-based resources.
    • Utilize a repertoire of interventions to provide short-term case management and counseling services to clients exhibiting a wide array of behaviors.
    • Develop resource linkage plans in collaboration with Juvenile Probation staff.
    •  Provide consultation, referrals and resources for Juvenile Probation staff.
    •  Collaborate and maintain consistent communication with AIIM Higher team and key partners (i.e. Juvenile Probation, Department of Public Health, & other community providers) to develop accurate assessments and implement effective treatment plans.
    • Participate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, court hearings, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, Family Team Meetings (FTMs) and all other client-related meetings as deemed necessary.
    • Complete all clinical and clerical documentation (i.e. CANS assessments, treatment plans, court reports, mental health notes, etc.) accurately, thoroughly and in accordance with paperwork protocol and timeline expectations.
    • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing the AIIM Higher program and Seneca’s mission and philosophy.
    • Identify areas for growth within the AIIM Higher program, including training in evidence-based practices, and collaborate with supervisor and AIIM Higher team members to address these needs.

    Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
    • Licensed or registered with the BBS.
    • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities required.
    • Strong communication skills and flexibility.
    • Own vehicle, California driver’s license and insurance.
    • Ability to work as a team player.
    • Ability to work with diverse population.
    • Own vehicle, valid California driver's license, and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy.
    • Clearance of TB test, fingerprinting, and any other State/Federal requirements.

    Schedule

    • Monday - Friday, with the ability to work some evening and weekend hours as needed
