  • Overview

    The Orange County Mental Health clinic serves youth, ages 0-21, and their families by providing individual, family and group therapy and case management services. Staff work as part of a Multidisciplinary team to help clients reach their treatment goals and provide services both in the clinic and in the community. Seneca is known for their competence in serving the permanency population and those impacted by trauma and staff are provided specialized training to address these issues in treatment.


    The Program Director oversees the daily operations of the programs and holds the over-arching vision of Seneca Family of Agencies. Orange County mental health services include outpatient mental health clinics, therapeutic behavioral services and the Guided Animal Intervention Therapy (GAIT) program. It is the responsibility of the Program Director to ensure the most comprehensive and effective services are provided to youth and families at times that are most convenient for them, and to ensure those services are documented in a way that demonstrates compliance with all county, state and federal regulations.



    • Oversee the operations of the following programs that are part Seneca Family of Agencies, Orange County: Mental Health Clinic, Therapeutic Behavioral Services, Guided Animal Intervention Therapy (GAIT).
    • Provide programmatic supervision to clinical Staff including the Clinical and Program Supervisors, Quality Assurance Manager, administrative support staff and independent contractors.
    • Facilitate new relationships and maintain existing relationships with other community-based organizations, the public school system, community resources and county agencies including probation, behavioral health, and social services.
    • Develop and implement new program models and service methods including evidenced-based practices to successfully address both the needs of the population served as well as the needs of the contracting entity.
    • Ensure program viability and financial sustainability. Ensure clinical staff meet all Direct Service Hour requirements outlined in the county contract.
    • Manage program following all contractual guidelines set forth by the Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) Contract
    • Conduct outreach to the communities served by Orange County programs and solicit feedback for ensuring successful program implementation.
    • Manage and analyze in-depth outcomes data and service delivery effectiveness in order to inform service provision and maintain adherence to the service models.
    • Develop and conduct agency-wide and community trainings relating to clinical and administrative topics.


    • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related subject area. License highly preferred.
    • TB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirements
    • Valid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy
    • Strong writing, organizational, presentation and computer skills
    • Ability to work as part of and facilitate the development of a multi-disciplinary team
    • Supervisory experience


    Position Available 7/1
