Awake Overnight Unit Supervisor

Seneca's Ventura County Crisis Services program offers a spectrum of behavioral health care crisis services to support youth and their families. These services provide safe refuge for young people who have experienced profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Services include crisis stabilization and short-term acute residential treatment, as well as transition and planning services to return youth to a setting in the community with stability.

The Awake Overnight Unit Supervisor works closely with the Management Team to ensure a fully-staffed, effective team of crisis counselors and relief staff. The Awake Overnight Unit Supervisor consistently maintains an administrative presence on the unit overseeing all services and supporting the staff.

• Trains and supervises Crisis Counselors
• Oversees and maintains the staffing schedule
• Oversees and maintains unit needs such as treatment supplies, hygiene supplies, etc.
• Oversees and maintains the pool of on-call and relief staff.
• Collaborates with the management team on new hires, personnel needs, and staffing patterns.
• Participates in Manager’s Meeting in addition to all-staff trainings and meetings.
• Maintains Administrator/Manager presence on the unit.
• Monitors overtime and reviews timesheets
• Oversees the coordination of relief staff.
• Available for direct care coverage as needed.
• Intervene with clients’ behavior management as needed. This includes physical management of the clients (implementation of Seneca Center’s Ahimsa Model Training) if necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to the following: time sheets, petty cash, and mileage.
• Perform all other duties as necessary for the good of the agency as directed by your supervisor

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and be insurable by Seneca Center’s insurance company.
• Clearance of TB test, physical exam, fingerprints and any other mandatory State/Federal requirements.
• Ability to work as a member of multi-disciplinary team

• 4-5 days per week
• 6:00pm - 2:00am (additional stipend for overnight hours worked)
