The primary responsibility of the Helpdesk Technician (IT Support Specialist) is to provide support all of Seneca's programs. The Helpdesk Technician installs, maintains, and configures computer systems and provides support to employees experiencing problems with computer-related technologies.
“As a Helpdesk Technician you have the opportunity to work with a great team of staff that has a variety of skills and knowledge. The environment is fast-paced but not stressful due to the attitude and energy brought forth by the team. You get to wear a bunch of different hats. You’re not just supporting staff, you’re getting to work with a multitude of systems including networking, phone systems and servers. In most environments, you’re in a tiered category: tier 1, tier 2 etc, but that is not the case in Seneca’s IT department. We are first and foremost a team where we all have a hand in a wide array of systems and tasks.”
