  • Overview

Classroom Counselors are key members of our school teams, guiding students to achieve academic success no matter what challenges they may be facing. We employ creative and thoughtful community-tested practices to celebrate the diversity of our students and weave our families' cultures into a curriculum that addresses each child's unique, individual needs. Seneca partners with public and charter school programs in the greater East Bay Area to enrich the educational experience of students through highly individualized academic and behavioral plans.

The Olivera School program has a mission to “teach the possibilities” by improving the educational experiences of our students by providing instruction that tailors to their individual needs. Olivera serves students grades 6-12 in the heart of the north district in Concord, California.  With a 6 year WASC accreditation, Olivera works towards its mission by actively implementing systems to mainstream students, giving them a voice through student government, and providing vocational opportunities to help students develop diverse skills that they may not receive elsewhere.

Seneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community based, and educational services. Celebrating diversity and creating a culture of inclusion increases creativity, innovation, problem solving, and teamwork. Seneca’s agency-wide DEI Advisory Board, Employee Resource Groups, and Language Practice Groups help our employees provide culturally and linguistically relevant services to the families we serve. For more information on our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative, click here!
