  • Overview

    The Bilingual (Spanish/English) Mobile Response Counselor provides goal-focused mental health interventions, crisis interventions, and case management services to children and families that are involved in the child welfare system in San Francisco.  They work as members of a treatment team and provide services in the community, including hospitals, schools, and family homes located both within San Francisco and up to 90 miles away.

    • Provide crisis management and intervention for any youth involved in the child welfare system in SF.
    • Complete risk assessments, crisis counseling, creation of behavioral plans and safety plans
    • Participate in all treatment reviews, family team meetings and program staff meetings.
    • Complete documentation identified by supervisor in a timely and satisfactory manner
    • Collaborate on a regular basis with team members including but not limited to: Child Welfare Workers, Caregivers and School Staff.
    • Participate in weekly individual supervision and group supervision to expand skills and receive ongoing coaching and support
    • Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing Seneca’s mission and philosophy.


    • Bachelor's degree
    • Spanish/English bilingual abilities required
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Own vehicle, California Driver's License, and insurance
    • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirements
    • Bilingual abilities a plus!
    • Prefer experience in working with children in residential care and/or in the community
