  • Overview

The Seneca Family of Agencies strives to provide a continuum of care to support youth and families through the most difficult times of their lives. We provide a range of school-related, community-centered, and residentially-based services to support the diverse needs of our clients. Within our public school partnership programs, Seneca seamlessly interweaves special education services with rich therapeutic and behavioral supports to intervene quickly and efficiently for students presenting higher needs. Many students with academic deficits have experienced years of school failure--it is our goal to provide an enriching school environment where students’ strengths are celebrated and their needs addressed with a variety of targeted interventions.

The role of the Behavior Support Specialist is to lead multidisciplinary behavioral teams at partner schools in the design, implementation, and monitoring of behavioral plans for students exhibiting the most challenging behaviors. Rather than provide services directly, the Specialist will support implementation of team-designed behavior plans through staff coaching, consultation, and professional development, with the goal of modifying students’ behaviors so they can better access their education and remain in the lowest level of school placement possible.

Seneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community based, and educational services. Celebrating diversity and creating a culture of inclusion increases creativity, innovation, problem solving, and teamwork. Seneca’s agency-wide DEI Advisory Board, Employee Resource Groups, and Language Practice Groups help our employees provide culturally and linguistically relevant services to the families we serve. For more information on our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative, click here!
