As a Bilingual Therapist at Seneca’s Outpatient program, you will be responsible for the ongoing provision of culturally competent mental health services to clients and their families, including individual and family therapy. It is their responsibility to strive to provide the best possible treatment for their clients and their families. They are also responsible for documentation to comply with agency-wide requirements as well as the requirements of the various counties with whom we work. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community: in families’ homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly therapy services with a combined caseload of clients in our Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient programs. Caseloads vary but can be up to 18-24 clients.
  • Provide case management and coordinate linkage to other community resources as necessary.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and treatments plans in accordance with county (medi-cal) and Seneca practices.
  • Completion of mental health notes, outcome measures, incident reports and other documentation as needed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in clinical supervision practices including individual/group supervision weekly, in-vivo supervision in sessions, use of one way mirror, audio recordings of sessions and case conferences.
  • Maintain close communication with other Seneca providers to design, implement, and monitor treatment planning for clients.
  • Communicate with outside professionals involved with clients as needed.
  • Attend all relevant trainings, including in-services.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, using Seneca’s Ahimsa Model Training.
  • Function as team leader and uphold the ideals of the program.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required
  • Registered or eligible to register with California BBS: ASW, AMFT, APCC, or full licensed
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English required
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with children and families

  • Culturally attuned to work with a diverse demographic served by clinic

  • Good organizational and writing skills

  • Willing to respond to crisis situations

  • Valid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certifications
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Monday to Friday
    • 10:00am- 6:00pm Or
    • 11:00am-  7:00pm
  • Flexible schedule required with ability to work evenings

  • Starting $88,400- $102,400 per year, actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
  • Additional $4000 salary increase for BBS licensure
