Overview

A Crisis Therapist in the San Francisco Aspire Program guides clinical treatment and provides therapy for our clients. As the Crisis Therapists you will conduct assessments and write treatment plans, and create sustainable transition plans. Our Crisis Therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments, provide guidance for the Youth Stabilization Specialist as needed, and conduct safety and risk assessments. The Crisis Therapist will provide support at the San Francisco and Oakland location with a set schedule that will be determined with the program leadership team

 

ABOUT SF ASPIRE STRTP

San Francisco Aspire STRTP Program is designed to provide treatment to youth involved in the child welfare system, provide a safe and supportive environment in our Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) setting. SF Aspire serves 1 - 3 youth from San Francisco as they prepare to live in a resource family residential neighborhood in San Francisco or Oakland. Our unique program centers around the individual needs of each youth. We provide a high staff to client ratio that allows us to focus on building relationships and fostering permanency connections.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Comprehensive Assessments for all youth to determine treatment needs.
  • Complete Treatment Plans for each youth and help guide the team in creating interventions that support treatment plan goals.
  • Complete in a timely manner all necessary documentation related to CCL regulations and Treatment Components.
  • Assist staff and client’s natural supports with developing greater understanding of clinical issues, treatment needs, and progress in services including how to provide a disconfirming stance.
  • Provide individual and family therapy to clients.
  • Provide Crisis Support and safety/risk assessments as necessary.
  • Attend all program staff meetings, treatment consultations and client specific meetings.
  • Maintain required documents and utilize document tracking to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct individual, family and group therapy, as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field 
  • Must be registered and licensed with the BBS (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)  
  • Own vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organizational and writing skills

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday with flexible hours 

Benefits

  • Starting range: $73,010 - $87,010 per year
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification.
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual proficiency exam.
    • Relocation assistance may be available.
