The Senior Contracts Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of the contracts lifecycle for Seneca contracts including development, negotiation, signature, distribution, and storage. This position collaborates effectively with Seneca team members throughout the contracts lifecycle process to support all contracts related questions. Responsibilities

  • Team Lead (25%)
    • Senior member of the contracts team, takes a leading role in the onboarding and training of new team members.
    • Direct supervision of contracts analysts.
    • Collaborate with VP of Finance & Planning to identify opportunities to streamline workflow and improve processes.
    • Support the development and implementation of new contracts related initiatives or projects.
  • Contracts Lifecycle Management (75%)
    • Manage complete contracts lifecycle for assigned contracts, including:
      • Preparing contracts: researching terms, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
      • Facilitate the accurate review and negotiation of third-party contract agreements amongst all internal stakeholders.
      • Ensuring compliance: make sure contracts meet legal requirements and align with the organizations' goals.
      • Monitoring progress: track deliverables, obligations, and key milestones.
      • Advising management: supervise the implementation of contracts for optimal efficiency.
      • Acting as a point of contact: liaise with partners and Seneca stakeholders.
    • Coordinate and support effective cross-team communication and decision-making about contracts providing technical assistance and guidance to program staff on interpretation of regulations, performance, reporting requirements.
    • Serve as liaison with funders and vendors and coordinate any needed adjustments to the terms; respond to inquiries as needed.
    • Coordinate documentation (such as forms, certificates of insurance, and other reporting information (to support compliance).
    • Work with legal to ensure all business terms in the contract accurately reflect the terms negotiated with the contracting party and ensure agency interests are protected and agreements comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Ensure all deadlines for finalizing contracts are met.
    • Effective utilization of CLM for contract management and ensure that all key contract indicators entered, updated, and tracked.
  • Work with VP Finance & Planning to prepare and provide regular reports to leadership and program teams.
  • Work with VP Finance & Planning to provide form and informal contract management and execution training to program staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Education/experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree OR
    • Associate's degree + 1 year of applicable work experience OR
    • High school diploma + 2 years of applicable work experience.
    • Applicable work experience includes relevant work experience in contract administration, accounting, or compliance.
  • 2 years of professional experience in a business operations role 
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination.

 

PREFERRED

  • Contracts in nonprofit and/or public sector strongly preferred.

 

SKILLS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team member.

Schedule

  • This is a remote position
  • Full-time
    • Monday - Friday
    • 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (PST)

Benefits

  • Starting at $83,200 - $97,200 per year.
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification.
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam.
  • 5 weeks of Paid Time off and 11 Paid Holidays.
