Join James Baldwin Academy in San Leandro as an Assistant Teacher, guiding middle and high school students through their curriculum. This role requires an active CA teaching credential and involves teaching classes, supporting the teacher, and shaping the educational experience directly, making a lasting impact.
As an Assistant Teacher you will partner with our Special Education Teachers at James Baldwin Academy (grades 6-12) or Pathfinder Academy (grades 6-12) to design and implement instruction that supports the individualized learning of students through small groups and specific content delivery. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll provide a consistent structure for the classroom that ensures that the academic, social, and emotional needs of each student are met within the guidelines of the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) and the Treatment Plan. You’ll also have the opportunity to enroll in an embedded Special Education Credential program under substantial Seneca scholarship.
