Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of youth and their families? Come join our MRT (Mobile Response Team) in San Fransisco to ensure youth and families receive comprehensive mental health services promptly.
The Bilingual Mental Health Counselor provides brief, solution-focused mental health interventions, crisis interventions, and case management services to children and families that are involved in San Francisco systems including child welfare, San Francisco’s Department of Public Health Child Crisis program and the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), and youth enrolled in San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). They work as member of a treatment team and provide services in the community, including hospitals, schools, and family homes located both within San Francisco and up to 90 miles away.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
"As part of the mobile response team (MRT) showing up to a crisis and being able to speak Spanish brings a sense of relief to all those families who are scared and worried of not being understood. This removes many barriers our families face which can open the door to hope! love being able to share a strong bond with them by speaking their native language. It also expands on what I believe to be true, Bilingualism gives our clients a better perspective of the world."
