Overview

The School Partnership Program Director is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the Unconditional Education South Bay program to ensure the provision of high-quality, accessible, and responsive services for clients. The Program Director designs systems and strategies to achieve the program’s identified goals, oversees day-to-day operations, provides ongoing supervision and leadership to the program team, and manages the program budget. The Program Director engages effectively with clients, families, community and funding partners, and other programs in the Seneca continuum of care.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to oversee the overall quality and operations of the program
  • Direct the delivery of high-quality client care grounded in Seneca’s values, guided by the principles of Unconditional Care, and in adherence to relevant governing standards
  • Perform personnel functions for all staff, including overseeing hiring, professional development, supervision, evaluation, and termination
  • Provide direct supervision of program leadership team and other staff, as assigned
  • Provide leadership to the program staff team, cultivating a program culture that supports safety, engagement, collaboration, and ongoing learning
  • Cultivate effective partnerships with applicable county offices, school districts, law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other community providers, and facilitate effective training for partners as requested
  • Manage applicable program facilities to ensure safety and a warm and welcoming environment of care
  • Plan and maintain the program budget and take action to ensure financial sustainability
  • Engage in data-based program assessment activities to evaluate effectiveness and guide improvement
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's Equilibrium model training
    • This may include intervening with the clients' behavioral program through physical management of the clients, if applicable. Training in additional crisis intervention modalities such as CPI may be required

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, social work, psychology, and/or counseling preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree plus comparable experience may be considered in lieu of master’s degree
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure with the applicable regulatory agency responsible for licensing, examination, and enforcement of competent mental health practice or education standards preferred
  • Three years of administrative or supervisory experience in a social work, education, direct care, childcare, or youth community care facility setting
  • Prior demonstrated record of providing effective supervision and leadership of diverse program teams
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule

  • School based schedule:
    • Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM (ability to work occasional flexible schedule when the school needs vary)
  • 5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 14 paid school break days

Benefits

  • Starting at $125,004- $139,004 per year,
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam
