ABOUT SENECA'S ASPIRE STRTP

The Aspire STRTP (Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program) is a highly individualized residential program that provides relational, trauma-informed therapeutic support and services to foster youth with complex placement and behavioral health needs. Youth receive comprehensive and intensive mental health services in a nurturing home environment for up to 6 months from a multidisciplinary team before transitioning to a sustainable alternative placement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision (individual and group supervision), support, and training to counselors
  • Nurture and sustain a positive team culture that centers values of anti-racism and antioppression
  • Perform the following personnel functions: interviewing, hiring, supervision, training, and evaluation
  • Lead and participate in the review of policies, practices, and data through a lens of anti-racism to ensure equitable outcomes for youth and families and equitable opportunities for staff
  • Develop and manage shift schedules to ensure adequate day-to-day staffing for the safe and effective operation of the center
  • Remain knowledgeable of all clients and ensure appropriate safety planning for all
  • Respond to crises and provide consultation as needed
  • Understand the terms and conditions of program contract and implement strategies for tracking and reporting all required data
  • Review, provide feedback, and approve documentation of supervisees to ensure compliance and expected billing
  • Participate in weekly supervision with the Assistant Director and weekly manager’s meetings
  • Coordinate with the management team to plan interviews, hire, retain staff and the ongoing staff training plans
  • Participate fully in site-wide initiatives, projects, and plans
  • Provide on-call response as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's Equilibrium model training. This may include intervening with the clients' behavioral program through physical management of the clients, if applicable. Training in additional crisis intervention modalities such
    as CPI may be required

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience Requirements:
    • Master's degree in social work or a related subject area OR
    • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience providing direct services to clients.
  • Strong writing, organizational, presentation and computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of and facilitate the development of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination 

Schedule

  • Full-time
    • Sunday - Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Benefits

  • Starting at $78,536.00 - $92,536.00 per year.
    • Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualification.
    • Additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam.
    • Salary increases each year.
