Seneca is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist for a full or part-time role. As an Occupational Therapist, you'll assess students and help them develop fine and gross motor skills, posture, and movement. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to empower students in their learning journey. This role involves consulting with teachers, providing training to parents and staff, and coordinating with community agencies. You’ll travel between school sites to ensure comprehensive support, all while contributing to a culturally diverse, collaborative approach that integrates academic, behavioral, and therapeutic strategies for student success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy initial assessments and reassessments for children with occupational therapy needs
  • Document evaluations in a thorough and professional manner
  • Provide in-depth occupational therapy consultation for teachers, providing professional insights for early OT interventions for their students
  • Provide occupational therapy services to students in support of their needs and treatment goals
  • Work collaboratively with other Seneca staff members including, Speech and Language Pathologists, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologists, Clinicians, and Student Support Assistants
  • Assist in providing in-service training in gross and fine motor skills, sensory motor regulations, as well as posture and movement to parents, teachers, administrators and other professionals
  • Assist in coordinating, communicating and seeking consultation with community agencies as appropriate

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Current license by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Proof of liability insurance
  • Experience with language techniques, sensory motor integration, and physical restoration
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
  • TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
  • Proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination

Schedule

  • Full or part time available (Choose your schedule!)
  • School based schedule:
    • Anytime Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM
  • Prorated 5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 33 paid school break days
