Are you driven by a passion for creating lasting change in your community? At Seneca, we believe in transforming lives by providing unwavering support to youth and families in crisis.
As a Crisis Therapist, you will provide crisis and connective services to youth and families who are experiencing significant psychological, emotional, and behavioral problems that are interfering with their well-being in spaces including but not limited to client homes, hospitals, community spaces, etc. You will coordinate and implement treatment goals and service delivery for assigned clients up to 8 weeks at a time, meeting with clients and caregivers on a regular basis. As a Crisis Therapist, you will work alongside a treatment team, including Peer Partners, to help deliver services.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
The Mobile Response Team (MRT) is a 24/7 youth mobile crisis response program which supports youth and their families in crisis when there are concerns for immediate safety. The MRT service is intended to offer families, schools, and providers an alternative to calling 911 when law enforcement may not be necessary for the level of presenting concerns. The goal is to provide early intervention before crises escalate, to divert youth from more restrictive interventions, and reduce criminalization of mental health for youth.
The Short-Term Assessment of Resources and Treatment (START) Program provides stabilization services following a crisis involving a youth within the Pierce County community. The primary goals of the START Program are suicide prevention and safety planning, ongoing crisis management and development of coping skills for youth and their families along with collaboration with other treatment team providers serving the youth. The goal is to provide crisis stabilization and linkage to long-term services while providing same day crisis services in the home or community.
