The STEP Crisis Counselor provides crisis support for youth enrolled in the Kaiser Partial Hospitalization Program. Counselors will facilitate and co-facilitate daily groups and provide individual support to youth as needed. Counselors will provide a safe and nurturing environment for youth enrolled in the program and will assist the youth in developing skills for growth and maintaining stabilization. Counselors will work a Monday through Friday schedule from 8am - 4pm. Non on-call, evening, or weekend requirements.

The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration, and Progress) program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca, providing Partial Hospitalization services to youth ages 12-17. The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. All groups are designed to teach youth the skills necessary to help them learn about their mental health, provide psychoeducation, and help them learn skills to feel better and be safe.

These crisis intervention services are provided in homes, schools, and various community locations. The Wraparound Supervisor works with the rest of the Leadership Team to ensure culturally responsive service provision to all clients and families as well as culturally responsive supervision and support to all members of the team.
ABOUT KAISER WRAPAROUND
This Kaiser Wraparound Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies, providing behaviorally focused mental health services to children and families. The program aims to provide children and their families with the support and services they need for children to maintain the lowest level of care possible and avoid out of home placements (group homes, juvenile hall, and hospitalization). Team members work with children and families providing services almost exclusively in the community: in families’ homes, schools, other community locations in Petaluma/Santa Rosa, CA.
