Wraparound provides strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth by drawing upon community and family strengths. Join our collaborative treatment team, as a Youth Counselor for the Immediate Stabilization Services (ISS) Program.    As a Youth Counselor, you will respond to youth and family needs in the community and in the home by providing behavioral intervention, crisis counseling, coaching, and resource linkage as needed to help stabilize a situation and maintain youth in their current living arrangement. Counselors are members of a treatment team and provide input and feedback in planning for sustainability of a youth’s placement. The ISS Youth Counselor will also assist the Clinicians with case management duties as appropriate.   ABOUT IMMEDIATE STABILIZATION SERVICES (ISS) The ISS program provides prevention and stabilization-oriented services designed to support young people and their Resource Families in times of crisis and high need to reduce the likelihood of placement disruption and preserve their placement. ISS staff are available up to 24 hours a day to provide phone-based assessment, in-person stabilization, and short-term intensive services designed to improve youth safety and well-being. ISS services are also utilized to facilitate successful transition into new placements for youth as they leave the Welcoming Center. These services provide safe refuge for young people who have experienced profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Join Seneca's team in providing family-centered and strength-based services!   The Bilingual Wraparound Facilitator provides culturally responsive services and leads a collaborative planning process for youth and families who are referred through Child Welfare, Juvenile Probation, or County Behavioral Health departments. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community: in families' homes, foster homes, schools, other community locations, etc. for youth who could required being placed in out-of-home care or are stepping down from a higher level of care. Your primary role is to ensure a sustainable network of unpaid supports (i.e. extended family, mentors, teachers, coaches) are working together toward stability for the youth and family.   ABOUT PROGRAM Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. The Wraparound programs are strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, with the goal of helping the family develop the skills and supports to prevent or reduce the possibility of out-of-home placement of their child.
