Do you have a passion for supporting youth’s mental health? So do we, join our Wraparound Program!   We are looking for a BilingualSupport Counselor in Wraparound services, who will work on a multi-disciplinary team and provide behaviorally focused mental health services to children and families. As a BilingualSupport Counselor, you will mentor, train and provide consultation to a team of Wraparound staff on specific behavioral interventions to support clients and families.    ABOUT PROGRAM Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. The Wraparound programs are strengths-based, family-driven, flexible, and creative, with the goal of helping the family develop the skills and supports to prevent or reduce the possibility of out-of-home placement of their child. A family-based team addresses the needs of the entire family, not just the child of focus. This family-based team consists of family members, Seneca's Therapists, Support Counselors, Family Partners, Facilitators and other community members who have an important role in the family   ABOUT SENECA Seneca Family of Agencies has been nominated among the Bay Area’s Top Workplaces for several consecutive years. The Family Partner must have personal experience raising a child who has received mental health services. These services can include Special Education, Mental Health Services, Human Services such as CPS or Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice or Probation. As a Family Partner, you have the ability to draw on your own relevant experiences to support families in overcoming the challenges they face.    Join our team as a Family Partner and be a formal member of the Wraparound team to serve the family (particularly the caregiver and other natural supports) and help them engage by actively participating on the team to make informed decisions that drive the Wraparound process. Our Family Partners have a strong connection to the community and are very knowledgeable about resources, services, and supports for caregivers. Your personal experience as a consumer of mental health services is critical to building rapport and trust with caregivers, and advocating for their needs when necessary as you assume ownership of the Family Partner role. As a Family Partner you may become a mediator, facilitator, or bridge between families and agencies to ensure each family is heard and their individual needs are being addressed and met.   ABOUT PROGRAM Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. Are you an experience mental health professional with four years of experience and ready to take the next step in your career? Join Seneca's team in providing family-centered and strength-based services!   The Wraparound Facilitator provides culturally responsive services and leads a collaborative planning process for youth and families who are referred through Child Welfare, Juvenile Probation, or County Behavioral Health departments. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community: in families' homes, foster homes, schools, other community locations, etc. for youth who could required being placed in out-of-home care or are stepping down from a higher level of care. Your primary role is to ensure a sustainable network of unpaid supports (i.e. extended family, mentors, teachers, coaches) are working together toward stability for the youth and family.   ABOUT PROGRAM Seneca offers "Wraparound" services to children and youth susceptible of placement, and to their families. Join our team of professionals at Seneca's First Stop Visitation Center!   The Visitation Counselor is responsible for documentation of visits, role modeling, coaching, and verbal communication to ensure a safe and successful visit. As the Visitation Counselor on the team, your supervision will consist of the oversight of interactions between parent and children and transportation to and from visits.   ABOUT FIRST STOP VISITATION CENTER The First Stop Visitation Center provides services to children and parents who are referred by San Francisco Department of Family and Children’s Services who are working toward reunification. Through its job-embedded learning model, Reach enables its students to gain professional experience while earning a bachelor’s degree for under $75/month.   Through Seneca’s partnership with Reach’sOxford Teachers College Program, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work as a classroom counselor at one of our Alameda or Contra Costa partnership schools while earning credit towards your Reach University bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies for Teachers.  Seneca’s Classroom Counselors are key members of our school teams, guiding students to achieve academic success no matter what challenges they may be facing.
