ABOUT THE ROLE  Seneca's Nonpublic Schools Program is hiring a Reading Associate to provide one-one or small group literacy instruction to our most struggling readers at Seneca’s Nonpublic school sites. As a Reading Associate, you'll participate in training to develop an understanding of foundational reading skills and phonics progression. Our Reading Associates are supported to effectively use whole-body reading interventions, existing curricula and technology-based programs, and games to teach word-recognition and comprehension to K-12 students. You'll also have the opportunity to teach decoding, the process of understanding letter sounds& combinations of letter sounds in sounding out English words.     ABOUT SENECA Seneca’s Nonpublic Schools Program partner with school districts across the Bay Area to deliver a high-quality education with a culturally responsive lens and highly integrated therapeutic & special education services. Our Special Education Teachers ensure students’ needs are met within the guidelines of the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) and the Treatment Plan and foster successful environments where students' strengths are celebrated and their needs addressed with a variety of targeted interventions.
