The goal of the STEP program is to provide intensive, short-term and stabilization services to enable our clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. As a Crisis Social Worker, you will work alongside a treatment team, including Peer Partners to help deliver services.     ABOUT THE PROGRAMS  The Mobile Response Team (MRT) is a short-term program which supports youth and their families in crisis when there are concerns for immediate safety.The MRT service is intended to offer families, schools, and providers an alternative to calling 911 when law enforcement may not be necessary for the level of presenting concerns. The goal is to provide early intervention before crises escalate, to divert youth from more restrictive interventions, and reduce criminalization of mental health for youth.  The Short-Term Assessment of Resources and Treatment (START) Program provides stabilization services following a crisis involving a youth within the Pierce County community. The primary goals of the START Program are suicide prevention and safety planning, ongoing crisis management and development of coping skills for youth and their families along with collaboration with other treatment team providers serving the youth. ACrisis Therapist in the San Francisco Aspire Program guides clinical treatment and provides therapy for our clients. In the Central Coast, Seneca provides in-depth fieldwork placement and training opportunities for MSW interns, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT trainees) and Professional Clinical Counseling (PCC trainees).  Graduate Fieldwork Placements follow a standard school year schedule beginning in the fall and ending in the spring/early summer. First year students are required to work at least 16 hours per week and second year students are required to work 20-24 hours per week. Exact schedules are decided on with the supervising clinician according to the students’ availability and the program’s needs. Due to the sensitive needs of the kids and families we serve, we ask that students assist in providing a healthy transition into and out of our kids and families lives.    Students are provided with the following opportunities: - Two week New Employee Orientation (Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm) is mandatory. - An intensive orientation to Seneca’s population served, values, philosophy, and practice at the beginning of their fieldwork placement. - An opportunity to conduct hands-on fieldwork. - Training and supervision focused on the Seneca treatment model. - Multiple and varying training opportunities presented on a wide range of topics applicable to working with children and their families. - Weekly supervision provided by a Seneca Clinician with an appropriate degree or license. - Weekly group supervision when applicable to the student’s fieldwork agreement. - Be part of an agency dedicated to helping provide permanent families to allow the children to thrive. - Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements. - Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required. Do you want to help support our foster youth? Join our team at Seneca Family of Agencies as our Intensive Services Foster (ISFC) Clinician and help support our youth navigate foster family placements to promote stability, secruity, and permanency.   The ISFC Clinician is responsible for both the clinical treatment and case management of up to eight children placed in Seneca foster family agency programs. Seneca’s ISFC program serves children aged 6-18 who have emotional and behavioral challenges due to histories of trauma, neglect and abuse. In this home-based, therapeutic approach, Seneca foster parents are valued team members who receive weekly support and guidance from Seneca clinicians and counselors. With a focus on the strengths and value of each child, the team helps foster youth to recover and flourish as they learn coping skills and improve their ability to regulate feelings and behaviors.    ABOUT INTENSIVE SERVICES FOSTER CARE (ISFC)  ISFC is Seneca Center's primary foster care program. ISFC provides therapeutic home settings with Resource Parents as an alternative to residential placement with the goal of supporting ultimate transition to permanency through behavioural supports, therapy, crisis interventions, and rehabilitation services. Youth referred are typically not able to maintain placement in a standard foster home or are stepping down from residential placement. Families work with a social worker and support counselor, in addition to outside therapists, teachers, counselors, county social workers, and other involved in the child's care to develop and implement a thoughtful plan to address client and family needs.   ABOUT SENECA  Seneca Family of Agencies is a non-profit with a simple but powerful mission: to help children and families through the most difficult times of their lives. Do you have a passion for supporting children and families? Join our team of professionals at Seneca's First Stop Visitation Center!   The Visitation Counselor is responsible for documentation of visits, role modeling, coaching, and verbal communication to ensure a safe and successful visit. As the Visitation Counselor on the team, your supervision will consist of the oversight of interactions between parent and children and transportation to and from visits.   ABOUT FIRST STOP VISITATION CENTER The First Stop Visitation Center provides services to children and parents who are referred by San Francisco Department of Family and Children’s Services who are working toward reunification. The primary responsibility of the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Therapist is to provide clinical services to PHP clients, co-facilitate training for the PHP team, complete documentation, and support the clinical integrity of the program. Therapists in the PHP provide intensive, short-term stabilization services to enable clients to step down to lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment. The main treatment modality is group therapy.   About STEP Partial Hospitalization Programs The STEP (Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress (STEP) Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies. STEP provides intensive, short-term and stabilization services enabling youth to reintegrate into school and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment.
