The Lead Crisis Therapist provides direct services to clients enrolled in the STEP Partial Hospital Program. About Intensive Services Foster Care (ISFC)
ISFC is Seneca Center’s primary foster care program. ISFC provides therapeutic home settings with Resource Parents as an alternative to residential placement with the goal of supporting ultimate transition to permanency through behavioral supports, therapy, crisis interventions, and rehabilitation services. Youth referred are typically not able to maintain placement in a standard foster home or are stepping down from residential placement. ISFC serves youth 0-21 who are referred through the county child welfare or probation system, and the youth can be in the program from a few weeks to several years. Families work with a social worker and support counselor, in addition to outside therapists, teachers, counselors, county social workers, and others involved in the child’s care to develop and implement a thoughtful plan to address client and family needs.

The PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) Counselor provides in-person crisis support for youth enrolled in the Kaiser STEP Partial Hospitalization Programs. On the Wraparound team, the Social Worker serves as the clinical lead to the Facilitator, Support Counselor, Connections Specialist and Family Partner to ensure the clinical needs of the youth are being met to help maintain the youth in the community and current placement. Services are provided almost exclusively in the community, including in families’ homes, foster homes, schools, and other community locations.

The Wraparound Programs work in close partnership with Department of Social Services, Juvenile Probation, Behavioral Health, and group homes. Wraparound provides strengths-based and outcome-oriented alternatives to group care placements for children and youth by drawing upon community and family strengths. As the Awake Overnight Youth Counselor on the team, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for youth and will intervene as necessary to assist the youth in developing skills for growth and maintaining stabilization. The Awake Overnight Youth Counselor will have the opportunity to provide crisis support, facilitate daily groups and individual sessions, and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in daily clinical treatment planning for youth.
ABOUT VENTURA COUNTY CRISIS SERVICES
Seneca's Ventura County Crisis Services program offers a spectrum of behavioral health care crisis services to support youth and their families. These services provide safe refuge for young people who have experienced profound mental health needs including psychiatric evaluation or hospitalization. Services include crisis stabilization and short-term acute residential treatment, as well as transition and planning services to return youth to a setting in the community with stability.
